Dance Film – 5 m‘
transcendere was the first collaboration with dancer and choreographer Deborah Manavi and performer Christa Stoeffelbauer. The performance, which explores limits and ways of liberation for the female body, was originally planned to premiere as a contemporary dance theatre piece, but evolved into a film by restructuring the pace and creating a dramatic composition made for the cinema screen.
While Deborah Manavi developed the performance for her graduation degree, STEINWARM took on the processes of cinematography, sound design and editing.
transcendere premiered at the 38th DokFest Kassel as part of the screening program „world-blowing“ and is currently on festival tour.
